Edgar was an amazing driver! We were picked up on time and safely brought to our Airbnb. He was even kind enough to speak with our host to ask if they would let us check in early. He came back to pick up an hour later because we decided to do a couple things. He was also a great guide. His vehicle was in perfect working or and clean. Alpacas and Views with the best Tour guide
Ed was an excellent driver, tour guide, conversationalist and history buff. He took us places for great pictures and beautiful views. I loved the alpaca farm so much he drove us to! Ed was an excellent guide and kind person!
Ed was so helpful and knowledgeable! We initially had booked just a ride from the airport to our hotel, but after chatting more (in English, which he speaks perfectly), he gave us some suggestions to visit around Cusco since we only had about 24 hours. Ed picked us up the next morning and took us to the llama/alpaca farm he suggested, which was amazing. Then he showed us some beautiful sites around the city. What a wonderful guide. Next time I return, when I have more free time, I will be reserving Ed for the entire trip. He is truly a local- knows a lot about the city, the history, and great places to see. He’s a safe driver, and you can tell he cares about making sure you have a great time. He’s incredibly kind and genuine as well. An amazing week in Cusco:
My friend and I met Edgar (an incredibly friendly and funny dude) at a local Shwarma restaurant and we spent the whole afternoon discussing plans for our week in and around Cusco. Edgar helped us plan and organize our entire trip and was very fair with his prices. Our sacred valley was especially awesome. Edgar was the best guide ever! Highly recommend him for your Perú experience.
We initially started exchanging WhatsApp conversation with Edgar back in March 2023 when we were planning our trip to Peru. Edgar was always professional and pleasant to communicate with. He was extremely honest during the political unrest and very supportive of our plan change due to the situation and mostly our safety. When we decided to reschedule our trip to October, Edgar was extremely helpful with his recommendation on the sites to see, activities to do, and places to stay. Edgar was very responsive and provided us with very reasonable prices for our excursions. When we finally met Edgar in person in Cusco, he was very accommodating to our schedule. He was very reliable and informative. He always ensured our safety and constantly communicated with us about his arrival for pickup and times for drop off. Edgar has a wonderful personality and we truly enjoyed hanging out with him and getting to know him. We brought another couple with us from the U.S that speak Spanish and Edgar was very respectful in his communications and made sure that the information he shared was given in both languages to ensure that all was correctly understood. We asked Edgar for a special ceremony with offering to Mother Earth and he went out of his way to accommodate our request. He adjusted the time of our tour that day to include shopping for the items needed for the ceremony, and introduced us to Cesar, our special Shaman. He also took great videos and photos of us during our activities. With Edgar, the four of us went to Rainbow Mountain and did the ATV’s, we went to the Abode of the Gods and also did the ATV’s, we spent 3 amazing days with him in Puno and visited the Uros Islands. Overall, we had an amazing time and Edgar made our Cusco and Puno trip visits amazing and unforgettable. We highly recommend Edgar for all your Peruvian experiences and activities. Friendly, safe, history and culture tour, exceeding all my expectations.
Following a mission trip circumstances kept me in Perú an additional 5 days. So Cusco. It was the beginning of a transportation strike & demonstrations and plans changed again as all tour companies shut down. My husband found Tours by Locals and was able to book a tour for me. Edgar was amazing! Shared the ruins in Cusco, history & culture, took me to a fiber farm to enjoy llamas, alpacas, and feed a condor.
