ITINERARY

Day Tour

We will begin the day early, picking you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 AM. Our comfortable transport will allow you to rest during the drive. We will head south, passing through small villages and scenic valleys. The morning drive will offer views of the Andean sunrise, adding to the adventure.


After approximately three hours of driving. We will reach the starting point of our hike, situated at 4,900 meters (16,076 feet) above sea level. This area, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and valleys, will mark the beginning of our trekking experience.

 Before starting, we will warm up and prepare with a light breakfast. The trekking route is gentle, making it a suitable hike for travelers of various fitness levels. We will begin the trek gradually, acclimatizing as we go.


We will follow a well-defined trail, gaining elevation slowly. The trek will be around 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) round trip. As we hike, we will enjoy breathtaking views of multi-colored hills, created by natural mineral deposits.

 We will also have a chance to see llamas and alpacas grazing freely. The trail will offer stunning photo opportunities throughout.

Arrival at Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain 


After about two hours of hiking. We will reach the summit of Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain, standing at 5,000 meters above sea level. The colorful mountain range will reveal shades of red, orange, and turquoise, a perfect spot for capturing unforgettable images. We will take some time to rest, appreciate the breathtaking views, and learn about the local geography.


From the main viewpoint, we will continue to the nearby Stone Forest, a unique rock formation resembling jagged peaks. This area will allow us to see a different side of the Andes, with its surreal rocky landscape. The Stone Forest hike is a short walk, adding an extra highlight to the day.


We will begin our descent along the same route, taking around one hour to reach the base. The return will offer a final chance to admire the surrounding peaks, valleys, and grazing animals. We will enjoy lunch near the starting point to replenish our energy.


After lunch, we will board our transport and start the return drive to Cusco. The journey will take around three hours, passing through beautiful valleys and traditional Andean villages. We will return to Cusco by 5:00 PM, concluding the tour with a drop-off at your hotel.
